UCDSU Student Intern - Accommodation

Job Description

UCD Students' Union wishes to offer students a useful and effective service to assist them in the difficult task of finding accommodation in the run up to the new semester. Along with the Welfare Officer we wish to take on a helpful, pleasant and diligent student to work as intern 4.5 hours per day during this busy period to ensure students and incoming first years get the help and support they need from their Students' Union.

Duties:

• Prepare and regularly update an accommodation list for students of local landlords willing to offer houses, apartments, rooms or digs to students
• Update the accommodation section of the UCDSU website daily with accommodation listings and other useful information to students and landlords
• Operate a drop-in service for students and landlords and assist them with advertising or securing accommodation. This may involve calling landlords to set up viewings, giving advice on employment contracts and liaising with UCD Residences
• Other duties relevant to the post for the purposes of assisting students in securing suitable accommodation

Duration:

• Commencing Wednesday, August 8^th - Friday September 7^th.
• Optional additional week September 10^th - 15^th subject to intern's availability.

Hours:

• 11am - 4pm Monday to Friday
• Lunch 1:30-2pm

Remuneration:

• Allowance of €150 per week.

UCDSU will provide the intern with the required office and administrative facilities to fulfil the above duties.
