STUDENTS' UNION AIMING TO COMBAT STUDENT HOUSING PROBLEMS
INFORMATION DAYS TO BE HELD IN UCD STUDENTS' UNION
UCD Students' Union is hosting a series of open days to assist students facing the annual problem of finding accommodation.
The events will be held on the two biggest days for students in August, Leaving Cert results day on Wednesday, August 18th and CAO offers day on Monday, August 23rd.
UCD SU President Paul Lynam said "This time of the year is always stressful for students so we are trying to ease some of the headaches they are facing.
Our accommodation office has been receiving calls from students all over the country with every possible query. We have organised these days to inform students about all the options that are open to them."
UCD SU Welfare Officer Scott Ahearn added "It is going to be a one stop shop for accommodation. With demand for on-campus accommodation already stretched beyond capacity, both days will open up all options that are open to students.
Representatives from PRTB and Threshold will be there on the day to assist student with queries, along with staff from the UCD on-campus Accommodation Office. UCD Students Union Accommodation officer along with the SU welfare team will be answering questions and providing students with the most up-to-date lists of accommodation in the local area."
The open days will be held on Wednesday, August 18th and Monday, August 23rd, from 10am-3pm in the Students' Union Centre, UCD, Belfield, Dublin 4.
