Hi there,

My name is Mark Stokes and I am your elected Graduate Officer representing all graduate students in UCD for the 2012/2013 year.

Graduates have particular and discreet requirements for support, resource allocation, study needs and time allocation. Many of the UCD facilities are geared towards under graduates and it is the Students' Union's intention this year to attempt to refocus the allocation of these resources more equitably to reflect the substantial and growing numbers of graduate students in UCD.

In order to achieve this, we need your support in order to prioritise what you require. If you would be interested in becoming the Union Council Representative for your course, please do contact me for more information. We need your help to understand what is required and how you would like to see both the Students' Union and UCD deal with graduate students and their affairs.

Please feel free to contact me at graduate@ucdsu.ie if you need any help or support, assistance, advice or just need someone to talk to. I am here to help and have weekly clinics where I will be available to help you.

The Semester 1 clinics will be:

Monday 22^nd October - 3.30pm-5.30pm (Student Centre)

Friday 26^th October - 9am-11am (Smurfit)

Tuesday 30^th October - 4pm-6pm (Student Centre)

Friday 2^nd November - 11.30am-1.30pm (Student Centre)

Monday 5^th November - 2pm-4pm (Smurfit)

Friday 9^th November - 11.30am-1.30pm (Student Centre)

Monday 12^th November - 3.30pm-5.30pm (Student Centre)

Friday 16^th November - 9.30am-11.30am (Student Centre)

Monday 19^th November - 2pm-4pm (Smurfit)

Friday 23^rd November - 9.30am-11.30am (Student Centre)

Monday 26^th November - 3.30pm-5.30pm (Student Centre)

Friday 30^th November - 9.30am-11.30am (Student Centre)

Clinics in the Student Centre will be inside the Students' Union in the old University Observer office (please contact me if you require assistance to locate it). Clinics in Smurfit will be in the Syndicate Rooms. There may change from week to week depending on availability but will aim to be in Room 6 (please email me if you want to clarify the room or need directions). Should these times not suit you feel free to email me and we can arrange to meet at a mutually convenient time.
