Vaccination Charges
Vaccination Charges
Following a proposal from the Education Office of the Students' Union, the cost of the vaccination screening costs for Health Science students has been reduced.
In the past, the process involved paying €225 upfront and once you had satisfied a certain number of criteria regarding certain vaccinations, a refund of €90 was issued.
This was flagged to the Students' Union as a problem in that the cost therefore of the initial visit is €135.
A proposal was then put forward to the Health Centre (who oversee the process) from the Education Officer, James Williamson. The proposal was that the initial visit should cost less than €135 and the greater expense should only be incurred if further visits are required.
The new system is now:
You pay the €225 upfront as usual. Except once you have satisfied all the same criteria as before, you will now receive a refund of €130. This means the cost of the initial visit is now €95 instead of €135. And the refund has been increased from €90 to €130.
