Veterinary sciences are known as some of the most intense courses of all, but trust me,in the vet building we party as hard as we study. When you have around 40 hours of lectures per week, studying the most complicated diseases and anatomical structures, you need some down time. For example, we often head to the Horse Show House, like the generations before us, to have the craic over a few pints.
We’re all like a big family and chances are you’ll get to know pretty much everyone in the building by the end of your first year (especially if you go to the VetSoc mixers; everyone tends to get to know each other a little bit too well at those).
Some lecturers bring their pets to work so you get to pet a fluff or two during your lectures (yes, we officially are the best building on campus).
