As a student, you are expected to meet the academic demands of your programme, however, UCD recognises that at some point students may experience a range of serious and unforeseen difficulties throughout the time of their degree. This has an adverse effect on your ability to perform academically and meet the requirements of your programme. Therefore, UCD has a polocy on extenuating circumstances to assist students who are unable to complete assignments, attend required classes or other learning activities such as exams due to these unforeseen circumstances. This policy provides a framework on which a students circumstance will be assessed and a decision is made on how these difficulties will be taken into account. You can find out a breakdown of policy on the link below and if you have any further questions don't hestitate to get in contact with the Education officer on firstname.lastname@example.org.
