Not feeling appreciated? Join our team @ O’Dwyer’s of Kilmacud. We are currently recruiting for bartenders (Full/Part time) to join its team in Kilmacud, Dublin. The successful candidate will have great communication, friendly personality and be able to multitask, enjoy serving and interacting with customers and have a can-do attitude to develop their knowledge and skills in their profession. Cocktail experience and a willingness to experiment with new cocktails is an advantage. As exemplary customer service is at the core of our business, friendliness and team-work are essential for the fulfilment of this position. A minimum of two years experience and fluent English are also required. Competitive rates are available for any suitable applicants.

The Candidate

Previous experience essential with minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role
Be able to work days, evenings or weekends (Full and Part time)
Previous food and barista experience beneficial
Friendly outgoing personality
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong oral communication
Work well under pressure
Following health and safety regulations

Requirements:

Minimum 2 years previous Bartending experience
Fluent in English.
Capable of working in a busy environment
Good customer service skills.
Specific attention to service at all times during opening hours
Career focussed and professional person
Previous bar tender experience essential

THE ROLE

Working within a team in delivering excellent customer service, the successful candidate will be required to:

Ensure a professional, friendly and courteous service to all customers;
To ensure that customers are warmly welcomed and that orders are taken efficiently;
Food and beverage service delivered in an efficient, warm and friendly manner;
To always be familiar with product offering (i.e. the menu, beverages on offer, wine list, etc.).
To ensure all areas are properly prepared and set-up prior to and after service.
Able to work day or evening shifts;
Flexible hours and weekly pay.
Work as part of a team and individually in a busy environment
Ensuring bar and front of house are always clean
Ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Cash handling experience
Welcome customers and create a positive experience for them
Good working knowledge of all beverages, cocktails and wine
Keep service areas tidy at all times
Working knowledge of standard drink recipes
Working knowledge of spirits, wine, and beer
Understanding of classes of alcohol, different glasses, brand names, and garnishments
Working knowledge of bar equipment
Knowledge and education in mixology an advantage
Numeracy and cash-handling skills
Ensure hygiene levels are adhered to at all times

Responsibilities

Greet customers and present beverage menus
Make recommendations and answer all related inquiries
Take orders from serving staff or directly from customers
Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks in accordance with standard recipes
Peel, slice, and pit fruit for garnishing drinks
Mix and garnish cocktails according to standard specs
Serve snacks to customers seated at the bar
Upsell drink and snack items to customers
Respond promptly to requests from customers in a polite and professional fashion
Attempt to limit problems related to customers' excessive drinking by following established procedures
Process transactions using the POS system
Prepare checks for customers
Process customer payments
Arrange glasses and bottles into attractive and functional displays
Ensure clean glasses, bar equipment, and working areas
Comply with all health, safety, and hygiene standards and policies
Balance the cash register at the start and close of each shift
Monitor inventory
Order and restock bar inventory ensuring stock rotation
