Hey there, my name is Martha Ní Riada and I’m your Education Officer! I’m 22 years old and from Co. Meath. I've just finished my final year in Law with Social Justice.
I've loved being involved in UCD clubs and societies and I really value the impact they've had on my college experience. I ran to be your Education Officer as I believe in the power of students and in working together to improve the student experience.
As Education Officer I am here to support students through casework, as well as organising campaigns for systemic change. I'm committed to helping students navigate any educational challenges they might face during their time in UCD. From representing students at plagiarism hearings to guiding them through various academic processes.
We also advocate for students through our work on committees and working groups. As Education Officer I sit on committees such as Governing Authority, Academic Council, University Management Team subgroups, and other subcommittees. It’s important to have student reps in governance committees as it allows for student input in important university wide decisions.
We are here to represent and support you so please reach out to us if you've any ideas or are experiencing any problems!
Working languages: English & Irish
