A Message from UCD Health Centre to Students

We in UCD Student Health were concerned that our students were being bombarded with information regarding Covid 19 from multiple sources, so we asked the help of the Students Union to gather a group of students (via zoom of course) and we asked them how they felt about the Covid 19 communications in general and how and if we could help.

Feedback from the group was that most of our students are doing their best in what is a very difficult situation where the overall student experience is not what we would like it to be. We want to say to you all that we are still here at the end of a phone line, and if necessary we can arrange to see you in person, so please feel free to contact us if we can help on 01 716 3134.

And, to our international students, who are here and may find it hard to navigate the Irish medical system, please also contact us if you are feeling unwell or if we can advise you - we are here for you.

Just to remind you

If you think you might have symptoms of COVID-19 (fever, cough, shortness of breath, loss or change to your taste or smell) please contact us on 01 716 3134 as soon as possible for a free consultation. We are happy to take your call.

We can give you advice and if need be, can refer you for Covid 19 testing in a nearby location.

This service is available for all UCD students who are currently based in the Republic of Ireland.

Any student who is currently abroad should contact their local health service.

We have also come up some new supports that we hope will be of help, one of which is:

UCD Covid Consultant for when you have a Question regarding Covid 19?

We would like to encourage our students if they have any general questions to contact us

Please feel free to send your questions in anonymously via our new Student Health Service Instagram account and we will have a member of our medical team “our Covid consultant “ get back with an answer to a selection of your questions as soon as we can .

In conjunction with the SU and via this email, we also hope to keep you updated with relevant facts and figures regarding Covid 19 via our social media channels , and some guidance regarding what students can continue to do safely in the current environment to stay healthy .

Stay vigilant, and if everyone of us continues to play our part, we will hopefully be back together safely on campus in the near future.

Keep it Safe, Keep it Small, Keep your distance and please download the Covid tracker app
