We have 8 College officers elected each year by the students of UCD.

Ag & Vet
Breifne O'Brien

Hi my name is Breifne o Brien and I am the college officer for the schools of Agriculture, food and vet sciences for the college year of 2017/2018.

As college officer, I am here to help any students in the faculties of Ag Food or Vet. These constituencies are 3 tight knit communities where everyone helps each other out but if you’re having issues with your course or college life feel free to give me a bell at any time!

My priorities this year is to arrange a few social nights between the 3 faculties with the aim of getting to know new people! (After all networking is key! ) I will be working closely with your class reps to make sure all students have a say and are fairly represented.

Promoting mental wellbeing and mindfulness across the three buildings; and maintaining/improving the facilities available for students (microwaves, computers etc) are on my main agenda also. So, If you’ve any worries, concerns or questions just give me a shout at any time!

Engineering & Architecture
Luke Doyle

I'm Luke, a third year electrical and electronic engineering student who is very enthusiastic about trying to make UCD a better place. I am focusing this year on trying to deal with reducing supports for engineering and architecture students across the board, from access to computers to supports for problematic modules.

Arts and Human Sciences
Rosaleen Aljohmani

As one of the College Officers of Arts, Human Sciences & Celtic Studies: there are a few things that need to be noted. (I'm a Leo).

1. My second name is not 'Ali Baba's'.

2. I'm just a happy lil burrito looking to make college life that much better for my beautiful children of Newman, by planning Constituency specific events to build more of a community within the building and working on improving facilities like charging stations as well as seating.

3. I totally know who you are, I will just never remember your name but will always know your face, Till my dying breath...

And finally, If you have any questions, criticisms or suggestions, please feel free to approach me. I have so much planned for the year ahead, from social to academic aspects being covered. Anyone and everyone. is welcome to join the team feel free to contact me via email or even speak to me in person. I'm just like one of you, except for the fact that my face was plastered everywhere last year with no name, no info, and no end to hearing about it. #Peace

Arts and Human Sciences
Criomhthann Morrison

Hiya, I'm a Stage 2 Social Science student (it's a real science...), and as one of the two College Officers for Arts, Human Sciences and Celtic Studies, it is my duty to ensure that students are getting the most out of their time in UCD. The majority of those under my scope will probably see me bopping about Newman a lot over the course of the year, so say hi if you see a blur with a bun.

My priorities for this year include ensuring that students are more mental health-savvy in the ever-busy world of university, establishing and promoting casual daytime events and occasions for students to enjoy and meet others in Newman, and working with the class representatives voted for by fellow students to provide the support students need from the Student Union.

Do send me an email or catch me for a chat in person if you have any issues or concerns, I’m all-ears :)

Business & Law
Ayrton Kelly

As College Officer for the College of Business and School of Law, I’m here to help any student in Quinn, Sutherland or Smurfit. This constituency incorporates some of the most striking buildings in UCD and some of the best services for students. But there’s always room for improvement.

My priorities this year include supporting your class reps so you get the support you need from the SU; to promote mental wellbeing and mindfulness across the three buildings; and maintaining/improving the facilities available for students (microwaves anyone?). If you’ve any worries, concerns or questions just gimme a shout at any time!

My name is Aoibheann Nic Giolla Riogh and I am the UCDSU health Science College Officer for the 2017/18 academic year. As an Officer, my job is to make sure everything in the Health Sciences constituency runs smoothly and that the proper support is given to anyone who needs it throughout the year.
