Sabbatical Officers
Enzo Crothers
The UCDSU President is the chief spokesperson for over 30,000 students in a full-time, paid sabbatical role. They lead the executive team, manage a multi-million euro budget, and lobby the government on critical issues like accommodation and fees. Crucially, the President sits on the UCD Governing Authority, ensuring the student voice directly impacts top-level university governance, funding, and strategy.
President
Jessica Klein
The UCDSU Education Officer is the primary academic advocate for all undergraduate students. They represent the student body on top-level university boards (like the Academic Council) to protect student interests regarding grading, exams, and curriculum policy. Additionally, they lead and train the Class Rep system and provide confidential, one-on-one support for students navigating academic issues like exam appeals and extenuating circumstances.
Education Officer
Éabha Hughes
The UCDSU Welfare & Equality Officer coordinates all union support services and campaigns regarding student health, well-being, and equality. They provide confidential, one-on-one advice for students facing personal challenges like mental health issues, housing disputes, financial hardship, and sexual health. Additionally, they represent students on university EDI and support committees while running major campus campaigns on consent, harm reduction, and mental well-being.
Welfare Officer
Tom Conway
The UCDSU Campaigns and Engagement Officer drives the union's political activism and connects the organization with the wider student body. They act as the chief organiser for campus and national demonstrations on key socio-political issues like housing, transport costs, and sustainability. They also form the backbone of the union's democratic structure by recruiting and training Class Reps, and managing all SU elections and referendums.
Campaigns Officer
Patrick Henriquez Bruce
The UCDSU Student Experience and Events Officer manages the social side of university life to foster a vibrant campus community. They plan, budget, and execute major events, ranging from Freshers' Week and UCD Christmas to regular gigs and social mixers. Beyond entertainment, they lead the union’s charity fundraising and work closely with the team to ensure non-academic campus life is inclusive and accessible to all.
Student Experience & Events Officer
Anushka Baisoya
The UCDSU Postgraduate Officer is dedicated entirely to representing the academic and welfare interests of master's, doctoral, and research students. They act as the primary student voice on university-level committees, advocating for fair working conditions, proper funding, and robust academic supervision. They also provide confidential, one-on-one casework support for institutional disputes, while organising dedicated social events and wellbeing campaigns to foster a stronger postgraduate community.
