Returning Officer Election Notice- UCD Students’ Union

As of Friday 27th September 2024, nominations are open for election to UCD Students’ Union Council for the following positions:

1. Agriculture, Food & Veterinary Sciences College Officer - Union Executive;*

2. The Student Residence Coordinator - The Campaigns Forum;

3. The Disability Rights Coordinator - The Campaigns Forum;

4. The RAG Committee Coordinator - The Entertainments Forum;

5. The First Year Promotions Officer - The Entertainments Forum.**

The elections to these positions are scheduled to be held on 14th October 2024.

In order to nominate yourself in an election, you must submit the names, student numbers,

and UCD connect email addresses of members of the Students' Union who support your

nomination. Please make sure these are accurate. The Union Returning Officer will be in

contact with all those who you list below as supporting your nomination.

- Nominations for Agriculture, Food & Veterinary Sciences College Officer require 150

supporting nominations.

- Nominations for all other listed positions require 5 supporting nominations.

Nominations will close at 5pm on 4th October 2024. Nominations may be submitted in

two ways:

1. Online via this form;

2. In person to the UCDSU reception desk using the UCDSU Sample Nomination Form.

Notes For Contestants

*Please note - only members of the Agriculture, Food & Veterinary Sciences College may

contest the position of Agriculture, Food & Veterinary Sciences College Officer. All

supporting nominations in this race must come from members of the Agriculture, Food &

Veterinary Sciences College and voting is also limited to members of this college.

**Please note - only first year undergraduate students may contest the position of First Year

Promotions Officer on the Entertainments Forum. All supporting nominations in this race

must come from first year undergraduate students and voting is also limited to first year

undergraduate students.
