UCDSU Team Ready for Action
As the new academic year approaches, UCD Students' Union (UCDSU) is excited to introduce its dynamic and dedicated team, ready to tackle the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead. The team has been working hard over the summer months to plan for the 2024-2025 academic year and has undergone rigorous training in order to best advocate for student rights, enhance campus life, and ensure that every UCD student feels supported and heard.
This year, the UCDSU team intends to build on the strides made in the years since the pandemic, harnessing even more student engagement, increasing awareness of rights and support services, and fostering a stronger sense of community on campus. Each member brings unique skills and perspectives, ensuring a comprehensive approach to addressing the diverse needs of the student body.
Miranda Bauer, who was elected as President back in April, brings a wealth of experience and passion to the role, having previously served as Campaigns & Engagement Officer.. "It's an exciting time to be a UCD student, despite the ongoing challenges with accommodation and the cost of living.” Miranda states. “My team and I are eager to welcome everyone to campus in a few short weeks and work tirelessly to make this year successful and enriching for all students."
