RAG Committee

RAG stands for “Raise and Give” and is the Charity and Fundraising branch of the Students’ Union.
RAG Committee Members will meet with the RAG Officer and Entertainments Officer to discuss fundraising opportunities on campus, help plan RAG Week events and volunteer at charity and fundraising events on campus.
Duties include:
Active participation at committee meetings.
Actively help organise RAG Week, including assisting with the setup, take down and promotion of fundraising events.
Lecture address / share promotional information on behalf of the Union’s charitable activities.
Volunteering at charity and fundraising events, including bucket collections both on campus and in the local area.
Liaise with the RAG Officer and Entertainments Officer regarding potential opportunities to raise money for our charity partners.
Promote the good work carried out by the Union’s charity partners.

1-2 hours every fortnight. *
*Additional hours may be expected during RAG Week.

All members of the RAG Committee will receive “Introduction to UCDSU” training and will take part in RAG Week Brainstorming Workshops.
They will be supervised and supported by the RAG Coordinator, and the Entertainments Officer.
All RAG Committee members will receive manual handling training prior to being asked to undertake any event set-up or take-down tasks.

Work carried out can be used in your application for the UCD Advantage Award.
Opportunity to have an input on the planning and promotion of SU events.
The role offers you a great opportunity to make new friends.
You will learn practical skills relating to event planning, promotion, and logistics which will look great on your C.V.
Recognition and appreciation of all work carried out during the year is celebrated at the Union Awards Night in April.
