Notice re: SUSI application deadline - 6 November 2025

If you’re planning to apply for a SUSI student grant for the 2025/26 academic year, the online application portal closes on Thursday 6 November 2025.

All UCD students who have not yet submitted an application should complete it before the deadline. Applications that are started but not submitted will not be processed after this date unless you meet the criteria for a late application (see below).

Important: SUSI eligibility rules have changed in recent years. Before applying, make sure to check the current requirements, including reckonable income limits, dependency rules, and residency or nationality conditions. You can find the full details at www.susi.ie.

Late Applications

Applications submitted after the 6 November 2025 deadline will only be considered if you meet one of the following conditions:

• Your course starts in 2026 but before the end of the 2025/26 academic year.

• You have experienced a change in circumstances, such as:

  • Reckonable income

  • Number of dependent children

  • Relevant persons commencing an approved course

  • Normal residence

  • Nationality or immigration status

  • Change of course or institution

• You have experienced extenuating circumstances that prevented you from applying before the deadline.

To request a late application, complete a Late Application Request form (available on www.susi.ie after 6 November) and email it to lateapplications@susi.ie.
